Only on television do prosecutors conduct their own investigations or race around to crime scenes. Kloppenburg, like all prosecutors, takes the cases that are built by law enforcement, they aren't in the field. Whether the DNR has given Milwaukee a pass is a fair topic of debate.wbmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00271619222697334576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32673461.post-32106940577527409742011-04-02T16:16:18.926-05:002011-04-02T16:16:18.926-05:00So this is "proper judicial enforcement"...So this is "proper judicial enforcement"?????

And what did Kloppenburg do to Tom Barrett and MMSD for the mega runoff sewage dumping in the lake that happens regularly????

Nothing!!!!

I thought so.

Where is their jail time?

If you are going to try and say this farmer is a bigger environmental problem than the sewage of Tom Barrett, your priorites are completely out of whack.

It turns my stomach you defend that kind of regulatory Stalinism.

Government polution gets a pass, private land owners get crucified!

I will call out this kind of "progressive" nonsense every time!Kevin Scheunemannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06252156440774753037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32673461.post-49995836897441117682011-04-01T20:38:34.702-05:002011-04-01T20:38:34.702-05:00And one of Stalin's techniques was the "b...And one of Stalin's techniques was the "big lie", so congratulations: you're a Communist.

I don't like copying from partisan web pages, but Kloppenburg lays it out:

Fiction: JoAnne put an 80-year-old farmer in jail for not planting native grasses on a field.

Fact: A farmer named Wayne Hensler in Jefferson County was ordered by the State of Wisconsin to take action to stop pollution from run-off from his farm going into Rock Lake. Mr. Hensler refused to do the work but finally agreed to pay to have others do the remediation work. Then he refused to pay the money he’d agreed to pay. Jefferson County Judge Randy Koschnick (who you may remember ran against Shirley Abrahamson) ordered Mr. Hensler to pay what he owed. He would not. Finally, another Judge in Jefferson County, John Ullsvik, found Hensler in contempt and put him in jail for a few days. Two facts are pertinent here: no attorney can put anyone in jail. Only a Judge can do that. Secondly, the farmer was jailed for contempt of court for refusing to pay money he had been repeatedly ordered to pay, not for “refusing to plant a field.”wbmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00271619222697334576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32673461.post-20994423965293494592011-04-01T08:27:29.336-05:002011-04-01T08:27:29.336-05:00"proper judicial temperament"?????
Thro..."proper judicial temperament"?????

Throwing an 80 year old farmer in jail for not planting the proper grass on his land is "proper judicial temperament"?

I don't know who is more dangerous, Joanne K, Lucey, or you, for posting that comment.

You are not advocating a free society if you want to throw someone in jail for not planting the right kind of grass on their land!

We call that "Stalinism" in the real world.

Is this what "progressives" advocate? If so, the "progressive" agenda is a bigger threat to idea of a free society than I previously thought.Kevin Scheunemannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06252156440774753037noreply@blogger.com
