Pro-Voucher Tea Party Group Admits It Wants To ‘Shut Down Public Schools And Have Private Schools Only’ | ThinkProgress

As ThinkProgress has documented, a tightly-knit group of right-wing Political Action Committees (PACs) and corporate foundations have unleashed an assault on public education, pushing school voucher schemes nationwide that would funnell taxpayer dollars away from public schools and toward private schools instead. If public schools can survive competition, there is no need for public schools to fail.

In Milwaukee, MPS will fail. It deserves to fail.

West Bend public schools may survive.

But it will have to improve. Is improving both public and private education a problem? If the public school is so good, why is it afraid of competition?
