West Bend School Board reminds country that we're still largely a town of homophobic rednecks. Thanks Boys!

Dan Savage now has the story. Can the ACLU be far behind?

Or will the School Board's lawyer 'explain' the law to the three members who voted no -- and in words small enough for them to understand?

Stay tuned.

You object to the West Bend School Board rejecting this religious club?

Does this mean the Motely Cow is now embracing religion in public school?

Have you looked at the legal basis for the claim yet?

Oh wait, why would you bother doing that? ...anyway, if you do, you'll find some delicious irony.

So you do embrace religious student groups in public school?

I just want to be clear on this, for future reference.

Religion? Now that's small-minded! Well done, Mark.

As a member of the first freshman class to graduate from the West Bend High Schools(1974-WBW), I am appalled at the insensitivity of some citizens.

Kevin, why do you view gays as second class citizens?

The Supreme Court has already answered your question Kev. Don't you know the answer? ;^)

"In GSA's application for school sponsorship, its purpose is listed as combating bullying and harassment and "to provide an emotionally and physically healing learning environment for people of all genders and sexual orientations." "

I propose another religious student group:

"In 'The defense of marriage' student groups application for school sponsorship, its purpose is listed as combating bullying and harassment from secular humanism, "to provide an emotionally and physically healing learning environment for people of a spiritual and family nature.""

So you would be OK with this student group? Especially if the student group advocated traditional marriage between one man and one women?

I'd be intereted in your reaction and sense of "fairness" on the question.

Miss West Bend,

I did not say that. I asked if Mark endorsed religious student groups.

Other side,

What if I feel bullied by your hurtful comment?
