As I live and breathe...

Are you sticking up for Christianity and religion with this post?

So secular humanism is not a good religion for our public schools and raising children?

Are you implying that you think Ayn Rand ought to be classified as a humanist?! If you do, then I don't think you've ever read anything by or about her.

Furthermore, I'm not aware that formal observance of secular humanism is required in schools. If you dislike the fact that your mythology is not given pride of place, and that public schools practice neutrality towards all religion, then go ahead and found a private parochial school and leave everybody else's children alone.

Nullifidian,

If you read the underlying post...the author complaining Rand, and her philosophy, ruined her family by ruining her religious upbringing...I have never seen a better progressive defense of the need for Christian education from a political group that activiely fights to expunge Chrisitianity from the public square.

I was not commenting at all on whether Rand was a "humanist" or not.

Just fascinated the Motely Cow posted this!

It's evident that Rand must be a bigger boogeyman for "progressives" than Christ!

In fact, it was almost a formal blessing of Christianity as the prefered way to raise children!

Very, very interesting!
