Time for Real Republicans to return their party to coffee drinking?

I've been hoping that some old school conservatives would take their party back from the tea-party fringe, but maybe it's too late.

Next up, neo-con political correctness and a new Scarlet Letter?

"Tea Party" fringe?

What does that mean?

Tea party attendees are more mainstream than radical academic elites.

I missed the article on "liberals taking back the Democratic party from radical fringe academia."

Look how foolish radical academia made liberals look on global warming.

I'll take tea party attendees over academic money-grubbing global warming cult worshippers anyday of the week.

Is Al Gore going to give back his Oscar for a documentary on faulty, and completely fraudulent "scientific" data?

This is good enough for a Monty Python episode. "No one expects the Scheunemann Inquisition."

I thought the idea that "tea party" goers are "fringe" elicited the Monty Python comedy in this discussion.

If elitist just means "not the dumbest motherfucker in the room," I'll be an elitist!!

I guess what I'm asking Kevin is "Is there someone else up there we could talk to?"

Dan,

Aren't you making the giant leap that Tea party goers are dumb and academia is smart?

Given the complete scam the global warming faith has been, and the most fervent followers were elite academia, who is the dumb one?

Mark,

Is turning your premise of demonizing tea party goers on its head to apply to the actual fringe embarrasment of the Democrats...academic elites wrong about to so-called global warming science...is that unacceptable?

No one was wrong about global warming Kevin, which you'd know had you actually read the leaked emails... but it's been clear for some time that you're just making mud pies. :)

The only one making giant leaps here is you Kevin. I'm simply not down with calling anyone who disagrees with me an elitist just because they are better educated.

I'd have more respect for the tea party people if they actually did something real - like refusing to file their tax return - rather than focusing all their energy into making a sign that they think might get them a second on Fox News. If none of them filed or paid taxes THAT might get something done. Do they even know what happened at the Boston Tea Party? They didn't pose for pictures with the tea and then send it on its way...

Have you read Perks yet? ;)

Dan,

So you will equally denounce Mark for using the term "teabagger"?

I just can't get excited to the fact that "elitist" is considered name calling on this blog when a term like "teabagger" is used.

Kevin,

I will gladly answer your questions when you answer the one I've been asking you for weeks. It's only fair.

Why is it so hard for you to answer the question Kevin?
