The sound of drums from the Kettle Moraine.
Could we term this as, "Resurrection of the messiah"?
Look how far his popularity has fallen since his coronation...wow a slight up-tick. Move along, nothing to see here.
Or, like Rasmussen shows, his numbers are falling and he is smiling because he knows he only has a little over 2 years left?
Hi Rich,Well, his numbers have plummeted, it's true... back to where they were the day after he'd beaten George W and helped sweep in a Democratic majority throughout the government. Not that I'm thrilled by that personally, but it does say something about his popularity.I guess most Americans must hate him. :^)I think you meant he only has 7 years left. And not incidentally: thank you, as always, for your measured comments at the school board meeting on Monday. I think you're dead wrong on all counts, but *you* presented a good clear argument for your side of your debate -- the place all real public debate has to begin.
PaulyW: "A slight uptick, nothing to see here"?Look at the Dow Jones, if you believe in it as a valid indicator. According to the Dow Jones and my calculation, we are 42% out of the recession as of today. A rather large uptick, something to see there.
If you think Obama has anything to do with this economic recovery you claim to see.....think again, because in WI, nothing is recovering. We are taxing more, taking in less, spending more and Riser (sp) wants to raise taxes. We now rank 48th in business climate. There is no recovery here without some tax relief. The poorest example of Economic stimulus at work in WI: re-pave a road that does not need it. It put nobody extra to work, and when the job is done, no new jobs were added to put the 15% people of WB back to work. The Stimulus is a joke and his poularity up-tic for a day or 2 is not the start of his recovery. 3 to go.....
