West Bend Library story is number three in the Blogosphere worldwide.

Even more famous than Prof. Gates.

From the Pew Research Center:
The second-largest story in the blogosphere last week was far removed from American politics. A BBC report (which received 14% of the links) revealed the new costume for British TV science fiction character Dr. Who. That was followed by a report on a fight over library books in West Bend, Wisconsin (11%) that cost board members their jobs and led to demands for a public book burning.

The fourth most linked-to news story in social media intertwined the thorny issues of politics and race. The arrest of Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates and the subsequent controversy fueled by remarks from Obama received 8% of the week's links. The Gates arrest also generated significant attention in the mainstream media last week, coming in No. 3 (at 12% of the newshole), according to PEJ's News Coverage Index. The top two stories there were the debate over health care reform (25%) followed by the economic crisis (12%).

At least, the Maziarka crowd is considered less important than Dr. Who's wardrobe.

I feel somewhat comforted.

Nice shout out from Saturdays Daily News top story. They had your link but not Maziarka. Will there be calls for a Daily News burning? Larry T.

Agree about the "nice shout out" - you have really come into your own as far as intelligently representing a significant part of the community - keep it up! Also, expected a lot more negative reactions to last weeks column, via Letters to the Editor, but have not been very many - probably less than some of your other columns (did you notice that your columns do draw more comments than any of the other columnists at the Daily News?). Seems like most of the blowback was at the local blogs, so the impact has been quite minimal.

Yeah, I am not a fan of the bowtie The Doctor is now sporting.

Now the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA) is coming to West Bends Gonring Athletic Complex to play baseball. Will they want that burnt down too? Maybe they'll just burn the filthy $250 a day and expenses. Will there be another pathetic display of hatred in West Bend? The story was in Judy Steffes column. This will be interesting. Larry T.
