Obama is the Anti-Christ? Toto, are we still in West Bend?

Hi everyone,

Who knew that the effects of fluoridation would finally appear on 2nd Avenue in West Bend, Wisconsin?

Here's the evidence:

Okay, maybe it's not flouridation. Maybe it's something worse.

Greenspan Concedes Error on Regulation

Hi everyone,

The cold water wakes up even libertarians, eventually.

Greenspan Concedes Error on Regulation -

But on Thursday, almost three years after stepping down as chairman of the Federal Reserve, a humbled Mr. Greenspan admitted that he had put too much faith in the self-correcting power of free markets and had failed to anticipate the self-destructive power of wanton mortgage lending.

And so on.

McCain and the POW Cover-up

Hi everyone,

I'd almost forgotten about the degree to which McCain wanted information on remaining and unreleased Vietnam era POWs stifled. Repressing the truth often creates monsters.

From The Nation Institute
[an excerpt]

By Sydney H. Schanberg
September 18, 2008

John McCain, who has risen to political prominence on his image as a Vietnam POW war hero, has, inexplicably, worked very hard to hide from the public stunning information about American prisoners in Vietnam who, unlike him, didn't return home. Throughout his Senate career, McCain has quietly sponsored and pushed into federal law a set of prohibitions that keep the most revealing information about these men buried as classified documents. Thus the war hero who people would logically imagine as a determined crusader for the interests of POWs and their families became instead the strange champion of hiding the evidence and closing the books.

The straight talk express?

What the McCain campaign is telling canvassers in a state they might lose.

Hi everyone,

Some choice, and unashamed, fear mongering by the McCain staffs in Virginia.

From: In Battleground Virginia, a Tale of Two Ground Games - TIME

an excerpt:
The McCain campaign invited me to visit Frederick and the Gainesville operation on Saturday morning, to get a first-hand glimpse of its ground game in Prince William County, Virginia, a fast-growing area about 30 miles from Washington, D.C.

With so much at stake, and time running short, Frederick did not feel he had the luxury of subtlety. He climbed atop a folding chair to give 30 campaign volunteers who were about to go canvassing door to door their talking points — for instance, the connection between Barack Obama and Osama bin Laden: "Both have friends that bombed the Pentagon," he said. "That is scary." It is also not exactly true — though that distorted reference to Obama's controversial association with William Ayers, a former 60s radical, was enough to get the volunteers stoked. "And he won't salute the flag," one woman added, repeating another myth about Obama. She was quickly topped by a man who called out, "We don't even know where Senator Obama was really born." Actually, we do; it's Hawaii.

Have a look.

The Man Behind the Whispers About Obama

Hi everyone,

So, this is the guy behind some of those emails you -- and my mom -- keep getting.

The Man Behind the Whispers About Obama -

It's always some guy, somewhere.

And, as I noted in last weekends column for the Daily News, Karl Rove didn't make this one up.

Is Sarah Palin faking her accent? Ya, You betcha.

I knew it was too good to be true and, to my ear, she sounded waaay too Minnesoooota (my home state) to my ear.

Here's the account:

Palin caught in another spectacular crash.

No one vetted Palin before JMcC picked her. Apparently no one vetted her canned debate commentary either.

In a nutshell, the quote from Reagan she used at the end of the debate is from a little propaganda movie Ronnie did back in the 1960's hoping to snuff out Medicare before it could be created in law.

Here's the poster from Operation Coffee Cup:
